"architecture is a dreadful and a challenging course, it sucks your energy out and puts you through sleepless nights and under tremendous stress, but it gives me the most wonderful feeling when my design comes up alive and working..
you only need one thing to survive in architecture... Passion. "- Allahyarhamah Sara Aziz
How I wish I'm as passionate as you Sara....it seems like everyday my passion are drifting away..
I recorded this split screen video of me playing a cover of Yuna's - Dan Sebenarnya... I'm just testing the editing actually, now that I'm getting the hang of it I can now record more "interesting" videos :D enjoy!
Did you notice that every week in the news, there are always stories about gun shooting? Last week a Vietnamese gunman killed 13 people at a community centre somewhere in New York. It was told that the guy was so frustrated after being sacked at work.
Today I read that A mother shot his own son at the back of his head, then shot herself in the mouth after. This happened in a shooting gun range (practice target centre) where both the mother and son shared the same side. The mother left a note saying that she had to do it because god turned her into an anti-Christ and she have to send her son to heaven because she is going to hell. They even have a video tape of this freaky murder scene. The mother had a mental illness history but again you never know what really happen. More info and the actual video on this link here.
Okay...moving away from the serious part of the world...
Have you ever encountered a weird/freaky/obscene company's name??
I found this one while I was on my way back from class.
HOOKER COCKRAM(Construction Company)
Hmmm interesting. I read the history of this company, they go way back from 1861 and they also have expanded internationally which means it is a good and experience construction company. Cockram is pronouns Co-K-Ram(Ko-Ke-Rem). What if we divide the name into 3 parts. Like this...
Alrighty, now you have three different possible meanings right?? Lets look it up in the dictionary.. First up,
HOOKER; –noun
1.
a person or thing that hooks.
2. any fishing vessel working with hooks and lines rather than nets.
COCK; –noun
1.
a male chicken; rooster.
2.
the male of any bird, esp. of the gallinaceous kind.
RAM; –noun
1.
a male sheep.
2. computer memory available to the user for creating, loading, or running programs and for the temporary storage and manipulation of data, in which time of access to each item is independent of the storage sequence.
Okay...now we have some of the meanings lets try and visualize how would Mr. Hooker Cockram appear in real life?
This is the sheeeppppzzznit yo
But wait...there is another section of the dictionary where we can refer words in a form of a SLANG....hmmmmm...
Went to Clayton today to Canon's camera service centre. I was told that it will take them 10 working days to see what's going on and they charge you AUS200 for it (-_-"),
IF the problem needs an extra spare parts or attention it will cost me EXTRA (-_-""""""""").
Damn it, I don't have any choice do I? Anyways...on the way back Yaya and I saw this funny interesting car plate from this Suzuki car in front of us.......
Mas, mau ke mana? Jangan tinggalin guwe, ini enggak FAIR!
It has been awhile since my last entry which was in August 2008 LOL~. I apologize to my friends who always tells me to write more on my blog. I want to but the thing is, I only write something when I feel like writing something. I can force myself to write, but it will be shit.
You can write everyday telling the world what you did for today, the next day, and the next dayafter the next day etc right? But unfortunately my day is not that interesting for to tell to the world, because everyday is always the same crap for me. So I reserve my blog for only what I think is interesting and also my expression towards arts, architecture, photography, design and music for me to share with you guys.
Maybe, I find it hard to tell people about yourself through conversations, it will be just words that are floating around in their mind telling them "okay this guy is a blablabla, likes blablabla, but Im not sure if he is so I think it doesn't matter then".
So instead of explaining to them more in detail, maybe I can use my blog as this medium to show them, well this is me, here with my interest and shits.
Or maybe I just want to blog coz my camera just got "sick" with this freakin errors and I can't take pictures with it and I'm left with nothing to do :( .....
Introducing canon's error 99 where the camera tells you that "I'm sick, and I don't know why mate..."
Okay...I don't want to start fresh by telling you guys about myself again, so I just start with my summer break in 2008.
My summer break was one of the most enjoyable I had in a long time. I did not go to work at an architectural firm like I always do, Instead I decided to relax (due to emotional breakdown from design studio) and play music, which is one of my passion since I was a kid.
So I heard about this band competition in Kuching called BandXplosion where they have a special guest performance by Bunkface(great band) and the Otai Butterfingers. I was excited with the prizes where the band that wins can have a free recording demo with Cats.fm (Kuching's local Radio Station). Then I call my musically talented friends to form a new band with a different concept/genre style of playing.
This time around we have a female vocalist, a little girl actually hehe named Carrie which is Bernie's little sister. We did perform together back in 2006 but the RTM's Rentak Juara audition was crap. I still want my younger brother as the drummer and add Arthur(UFB) as the new bassist to replace Martin. Bernie is sings and play the second guitar in the band.
from left ; Bernie, Me,Carrie, Arthur and Kiya
I named the band Delphian for Aria which means Hidden/secret for melody since we playing a darker sound of music. We got into the finals from the first round, and did pretty okay in the finals.
Happy moments :)
Our lives changed after the finals :P where we got invited to play gigs with other talented local bands and events. It got more serious when we were ask to write our own songs for the demo recording. The song writing was a new thing to me. It is really hard to come up with what you really want and I kinda like it cause I get to find out that I want to write more songs after that. I wanted the bands to get involve with the song writing process but each of them has their own commitments.
I also got to perform with my old band Lateral Faction woohoo~ Incubus!
I just hope my bandmates is doing ok even when I'm not around, If they don't, well I just might start a new band again LOL.
